Profero GT is an at-home diagnostic that uses a gram stain test to look for gonorrhea. A self obtained sample of infected saliva or urine will be tested by exposing it to Crystal Violet stain, Iodine solution, and Safranin solution. This will cause the bacteria in the sample to stain either violet, or reddish pink.
